Dandiya With Dada Dadi

                          

For 71-year-old Grand maa a resident of a OM Ashram old age home, Navratri is just another day. "What could I possibly do? Wake up, pray, eat and rest," she said. "Without my family, what difference would it make on the day of a festival?" On Navratri everyone looks forward to celebrating the 9 days with loved ones. However, the elderly at  old age homes do nothing but wait for a glimpse of their kin; they stare blankly at the gates. Sadly for some, the wait stretches for hours, days, and even months. Like every year, around 70 senior citizens staying at Om Ashram home will celebrate the festival inside the home.
We spread smile in their lifes, spent valuable time and played Dandiya with all our Dada and Dadis.
