Earth Day | Plog and Trek | 23-04-2022
This 'Earth Day' Indian Roots Foundation headed
to Savandurga, one of the most prominent monolithic hills in Asia. To plog & Trek the hill as a promise to keep
Earth clean and help restore its former glory. On the occasion of Earth Day IRF
trekked Savandurga Hills. 25 adult volunteers including 2 children were a part
of this successful plog and trek. Though the temperature was touching 30
degrees the volunteers' enthusiasm did not waver and they collected 30 or more bags
of plastic on the hills. The excitement rubbed off on the other trekkers who joined our team in plogging.
The collected plastic waste was given to the
local panchayat for recycling.
We extend our gratitude to all the volunteers
who came to spend their Saturday in such a fantastic manner.
Venue: Savandurga
