Livelihood program - Jewellery making

Empowering women contribute to the health and productivity of whole family and community to improve the prospects of the future generation. Hence empowering them becomes a very important task for any nation. Nation like our India faces a huge challenge of population and stigma related to girl child abandonment leads to issues like women escorts, fire victims etc.

Finding alternate livelihood to such escorts, burn survivors, transgender women, HIV affected women is one of IRF's important projects of the year 2022. In association with IASAP, IRF organised jewellery making sessions.

Women were trained in the art of making jewellery to help women gain knowledge of a new profession that could change their life forever. It was sheer pleasure to see all women walk in & learn a skill. Most women sometimes just need a little support to make all the difference. The conviction each participant displayed just added to more joy and determination for all we organisers.

Their enthusiasm and eagerness to learn were indeed commendable.
